VSED and COERR in Youth Volunteer Camp Activities during June – July 2022

   On Saturday, June 13, 2022, Volunteer for Social and Environmental Development (VSED) and COERR organized a One Day Youth Volunteer Camp called “Instill Courage, Perform Good Deeds or VSED volunteerism, Year 3”, hosted and chaired by Sister Sununta Sathapornwalairat, Sacred Heart Convent School Directress.

   The objectives of this event were to promote children and VSED youth leader to possess good manner and volunteering spirit, including awareness raising in environment conservation.

   The activities of the day concerned strengthening relationship among VSED members, planning and designing activities to be implemented in VSED Schools during 2022, and learning about Environmental Protection at the Sacred Heart Learning Center.

   There were 12 Catholic schools sending their outstanding and leading students to participate in this event, as follows: Sacred Heart Convent School, Praharuthai Donmueng School, Phraharuthai Pattanaves School, Praharuethai Nonthaburi School, Assumption School, Assumptionsuksa School, St. Gabriel’s College, Premrudisuksa School, St. Peter School, St. Mary School, St. Raphael School and St. Theresa School – Nong Chok. There were totally 135 participants in this program: 102 students, 28 teachers and 5 COERR staff.

   During July 28-30, 2022, COERR and VSED organized 7th Youth Volunteer Camp to Catholic Schools, at Haruthai Beach House in Petchaburi Province’s Cha-am District. The objectives of the activity were to improve youth catholic volunteers environmental protection and leadership skills through varieties of environmental and volunteering activities, such as, nature trekking in Pranburi Forest Park in Prachuab kirikhan Province’s Pranburi District; Painting toys and other instructional media on footpath of Bannernsai School in Cha-am District, at which “Hiro Paints” products were donated by PRECISION ENGINEERING CO., LTD., for this painting activity. COERR is very grateful for this kind donation.

   There were 96 participants comprising 23 outstanding teachers and 63 leading students from the following 10 Catholic schools as well as 5 COERR staff joining the painting event: Sacred Heart Convent School, Praharuthai Donmueng School, Praharuethai Nonthaburi School, Phraharuthai Pattanaves School, Assumption School, Assumptionsuksa School, St. Gabriel’s College, St. Theresa School, St. Mary School and St. Peter School.

   This activity was honored by the presence of Sister Dr. Patchara Nantajinda, Phraharuthai Donmuang School Directress and Sister Sununta Sathapornwalairat, Sacred Heart Convent School Directress.
